Welcome to Ultra Shine University!

Ultra Shine is a company that takes pride in its quest for continuous improvement. In order to commit to this, we must audit how our current systems and processes are serving us and our customers and look for areas we can improve. The Continuous Improvement program Ultra Shine has in place has been incredibly successful, however this is not the only way we can improve our business. Ultra Shine believes in growing future leaders and by investing in the people within our company, we not only help them in their journey for personal growth, we create a team of confident individuals with a unified mission, to continuously improve. We wanted to make career development accessible to every Ultra Shine team member, and to do this, we needed to find a way to share our knowledge and resources with everyone within the company, from front line workers to upper management.  So we assembled the troops and set out to find a solution. When we have a problem at Ultra Shine, we like to get everyone involved. And I mean EVERYONE. The more brains, the better the solution.  After some intense brainstorm sessions and constantly piggybacking off of one another’s idea, WE GOT IT!  Ultra Shine University. A place we can all LEARN TO SHINE.  This was the solution for the employees that wanted to be better at their jobs, invest in themselves, open themselves up to new opportunities and be a future leader within the company.

Including both technical and leadership training, it is free to all employees and they have the ability to take as many classes as they want on a schedule that works for them. From Stain Identification & Removal to Internal Customer Service, there is something at USU for everyone. Taught by an expert in the company, it enhances training and is presented by a familiar face. Ultra Shine’s approach to learning? Hands on. We want our employees practicing and taking an active approach in their learning which has proven to have a very high success rate.

The feedback we have received from Ultra Shine University is confirmation that it is exactly what we needed! Practices are always changing and that couldn’t be more true in the cleaning industry. The Covid-19 pandemic has definitely had an impact at Ultra Shine like many others. However, having USU and it’s online classes in place, helped those on the front lines to feel comfortable and confident in their skills and brush up if they needed to. When you look at the makeup of Ultra Shine’s leadership team, it is composed of individuals that have grown with the company. From Receptionist to Director of Customer Experience or Cleaner to Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager, we like to train and promote within. A key similarity between these individuals has been the desire to continually learn and improve at their job.  Their commitment to being better at their jobs and investing in their own personal development opens themselves up to new opportunities. It’s a win-win in every direction.
