I know we talk about cleaning a lot, we are a cleaning company after all!
As cool as we think commercial cleaning is, we also find the health and well-being of our staff pretty cool too and we are proud of the employee-centered environment we have cultivated within our company.
Ultra Shine has a 92% retention rate when it comes to our front-line staff, of which 77% have been with us for over 5 years and 68% with us for over ten years!
Without stressing the importance of health and well-being within our organization, we wouldn’t be able to offer the value we do to our customers.
Here are some of the things Ultra Shine does that have helped us foster our people-first culture.

Shining Stars! This is Ultra Shine’s recognition program. Each month we recognize stand-out employees that have gone above and beyond as unsung heroes. Ultra Shine wants to ensure it is a regular practice to recognize and praise our employees for all their hard work. Their commitment does not go unnoticed and we believe that it's vital that every member of Ultra Shine knows how valued they are.

One day off a year to volunteer Community is very important to Ultra Shine and we believe it’s important for everyone who makes up Ultra Shine as well. If a cause is important to one of our employees, it’s important to us. That’s why we provide our employees with one paid day off a year to volunteer.

Ultra Shine University Ultra Shine loves to promote career development and continuous learning. It helps our employees to be better at their job and further their career aspirations. This was part of the reason why we launched Ultra Shine University. To give everyone an opportunity to learn what topics they want, when they want to learn them. It also helps to promote health and safety within Ultra Shine so we can give every employee the knowledge they need to stay safe at work.
