New Year, same Ultra Shine focused on continuous improvement and bringing the very best to our customers. We often don’t share the amount of WORK that goes on behind the scenes in order to implement new processes and technologies. From brainstorming sessions and leadership committees to hours of extensive research and testing, our team is always working hard to discover ways to serve our customers better.
Ultra Shine is always looking to grow and one of the ways we plan to do this is through expansion. Whether it’s opening an office and growing our customer base in British Columbia (2018) or bringing Ultra Shine to the USA through acquisitions (2021) We are forever looking to the future.
Here’s a glimpse into what you can expect to see from Ultra Shine in the 2023 year:
A Structured Plan for Community Engagement Ultra Shine values generosity and we love to get involved and give back to our local community. Ultra Shine has supported Santas Anonymous and Make a Wish for many years, is closely aligned with the Sinatra Aldea Foundation which supports HART and IHuman Youth Society and has provided staff with 1 paid day every year to volunteer at a non-profit of their choosing. We are also quick to take to get involved in additional opportunities to support our community as they arise.
This year we are planning on getting involved in new ways. In fact, you may have already heard of one way we are supporting the communities of the customers we serve. Ultra Shine partnered with the TransAlta Tri Leisure Recreation Centre to host a toy drive in support of the Kinettes of Spruce Grove Christmas Hamper fundraiser and it was a huge success!
Ultra Shine will continue to support the organizations we have in the past, but are excited to launch quarterly fundraisers to support the vulnerable public in the many regions we service.
Aggressive Growth and Expansion in the US Market We’ve been there for a year now, we got our footing and figured out the lay of the land. Now Ultra Shine is excited to bring exceptional janitorial and cleaning services to many new future customers. We won’t share too much right now so you’ll have to stay tuned to find out.
Even More Employee Initiatives Not to brag but we have recently been recognized by Waterstone Human Capital as having one of Canada's Most Admired Corporate Cultures. Our employees are pivotal to the success of our business and it is important that they be recognized for the value they bring to the Ultra Shine name.
Whether that’s recognizing a Shining Star each month, or celebrating milestones and other achievements, Ultra Shine rewards our staff to improve retention and help fill labour gaps. Ultra Shine also encourages employee referrals through our employee referral bonus program and believes education and personal development are keys to retaining good staff. By promoting employee education at every level of our business, we can bring the best to our customers.

You get a committee, and you get a committee! Implementing committees is a big aspect of our continuous improvement plan. Even continuous improvement needs some continuous improvement! From topics such as Health and Safety, Continuous Improvement, Technology, Recruitment and more, we bring together experts and unique voices in regular meetings to discuss these topics and look for areas of improvement and growth.
