Ultra Shine would be nothing without our frontline staff, these hard working individuals are why we are able to do what we do. While Bob, our robotic floor scrubber, may be able to help your bottom line and be an additional member of your janitorial team, the REAL people are at the heart of Ultra Shine, and we’ll gush over them every chance we get.
The janitorial industry is full of ‘unsung heroes’ who are out there putting in the work to make sure customer facilities are safe for their staff and visitors. At Ultra Shine, we believe it is important that we let our staff know their hard work does not go unnoticed, which is why each month a front line worker is selected to receive the Shining Star award.
These Shining Stars are individuals who go above and beyond the call of duty, are problem solvers, elevate and support their team members, make lasting impressions on our customers and the guests at their facilities, and take great pride in their work. Each month, staff are nominated by their supervisors, coworkers, and management based on the positive impacts they have made in their day to day lives. At the beginning of each new month, nominations are compiled and their stories are submitted and shared with the team who vote for the nominee they believe is most deserving based solely on their contributions and impact, names are kept confidential until the results are tallied. Shining Stars are awarded with a certificate, monetary reward and a Shining Star pin that can be worn on their uniform with pride.

At the end of every year, Shining Stars for each month are again nominated for the Shining Star of the Year award. This award is presented at the yearly holiday celebration. These individuals make Ultra Shine what it is through their consistent performance, outstanding customer service to not only internal team members but also to our customers, their positive attitudes that inspire those around them, and their innovative problem solving and their distinguished deeds.
While our service offerings and reputation may be what initially draws your company to Ultra Shine, the custodians on site will be the reason you stay ;)
